Tom Cannon
I am an internationally recognized photographer and videographer based in Western Australia.
Born in 1991 in the seaside town of Shoreham, England, I have never been far from the ocean.
I devote my time to working as a professional photographer with my longest experience working on the Ningaloo Reef, where I lived for 8 years. Throughout this time, I have continued to grow and learn as a wildlife photographer, adapting my work to both above and beneath the surface of the water.
I have a proven ability to capture intimate images of my subjects in a range of environments. My work is recognized for my unique artistic perspective and my ability to capture close, often unseen interactions with wildlife in their natural habitat. Many of the images you see have taken hours of patience and years of growing knowledge to ensure that I can photograph my subjects' unique behaviors.
My passion for wildlife and the natural world has led me to dedicate my life to giving back through my work in conservation. I am the co-founder of the conservation movement Protect What You Love and also lead several small group expeditions in different corners of the planet, bringing my guests closer to wildlife while sharing my knowledge with them.
In my short career, my work has been featured in National Geographic Magazine, Rolex, Mission Blue, The Times, The Daily Mirror, The NY Times, and more.
